What is Scrapbook Design & You™?
A Little Bit of Heaven Scrapbooking& More is proud to be offering an exciting new educational program, Scrapbook Design & You™. Scrapbook Design & You™, (formerly called Scrapbook Design University®) teaches beginner through advanced scrapbookers the essential scrapbook theories and principles of design. SDU® will dramatically alter the skills of any scrapbooker and make a difference in your ability to create dynamic scrapbook pages. Program graduates will be able to fully embrace the value and message of our slogan for SDU® Theory - Technique - Foundation - Success™!
There are 10 classes in the course work of SDU®. The first five classes are theory classes and teach the principles of scrapbooking. The second five classes are project classes that focus on fundamental scrapbook techniques.
At each class, you will receive the course materials to be organized in the SDU® binder. This book will become your complete guide to scrapbooking with all the tools and project ideas needed to create any and every scrapbook page.
SDU® Class Courses:
SDU T1 Scrapbook Basics Learn the basics of scrapbooking. This class will orient the beginner to the importance of the hobby of scrapbooking. This class will inspire you to create a scrapbook.
SDU T2 Tools of the Trade There are many tools that can assist in making fantastic scrapbook pages. Join this class to learn how to use these scrapbook tools in making your scrapbook pages beautiful.
SDU T3 Journaling Pictures can not tell a story alone. This class will teach writing basics that will assist in completing pages with journaling.
SDU T4 Color A working knowledge of color is a must for every scrapbooker. In this class, you will learn color theory as it relates to designing scrapbook pages.
SDU T5 Layout Design In this class you will learn that photographs, journaling, title, enhancements, color, line, lettering and shape are the building blocks of scrapbook design. You will learn how and when to use these elements to create great pages. You will also learn principles of design structure that will help you create strong layouts.
SDU P1 Matting Matting is one of the most spectacular techniques for making photos stand out on your scrapbook page. Enhancing a photo with a mat adds interest and excitement to the image. You will learn different ways to mat a photo in order to create a well-designed layout.
SDU P2 Stickers This class offers techniques to get your stickers out of your collection and onto your scrapbook pages!
SDU P3 Lettering Lettering on your scrapbook pages should be fun. In this class you will learn how to relax and enjoy writing in your scrapbook pages.
SDU P4 Titles The title is a critical element in layout design and can be perceived by the reader in many ways simultaneously. Learn how to design spectacular titles that will make amazing presentations on your scrapbook pages
SDU P5 Punches Punches are exciting tools that cut shapes from paper. This class offers insight in creating punch scenes, building images and more!
A Little Bit of Heaven Scrapbooking & More will be teaching an additional project with our SDU® course work. So that at the end of your SDU® program, you will also have completed a 6x6 album!
